This home-school year brings many changes. We left the school we have home-schooled through since the beginning of Mikayla’s Kindergarten year. I had made dear friends with the teachers that run the program so this was a difficult decision. The change has brought many wonderful new beginnings; the kids are now making a lot more local friendships through our new private home-school program which has been such a blessing.
Not only did we decide to switch schools we also decided to leave Girl Scouts for personal reasons. Instead this year I have taken on starting a Keeper of the Home group for Mikayla. This will be an all new undertaking for me; I know with prayers I will make it through. Mikayla is so excited; a couple of her Girl Scout friends will be joining us for our adventure.
Between, Okinawa te Karate, skateboarding classes, flag football, Keepers of the Home, Choir, and teaching the kids I am sure I will find time for myself; right? Our list of activities is constantly growing; I just hope we can remember to stop to smell the flowers along the way to help minimize the stress. One can only hope.
